Some of you may be seasoned Rocketeers, others are newbies and some of you want to take it to the next level. Regardless of your level, let's break it down
and discuss some tips...
What Kind of Rocket do I get?
READ THIS PART CAREFULLY - If you (the adult) plan to help assemble the rocket with
your son, then the sky's the limit (no pun intended). HOWEVER if you plan
on me helping your son assemble the rocket, I have some guidelines, only because
I will have several boys to help too...
- Do not get Rocket kits with balsa fins (it will say on the box)
- Rocket kit must be a skill level 3 or less
- Be sure to get the correct engine size (it will say on box). If you cannot
find the correct engine, do not buy the rocket. Engines are located where
the rocket kits are sold
- Get on pack of wadding. Wadding is like tissue, but fire-proof. Wadding
is located where the rocket kits are sold
Where do a get Rocket Kit?
- You can go to most Hobbie Stores (Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Hobby Town)
- You can order kits online at various Hobby Stores.
- Stick to the "Estes" brand when ordering or buying yourself.
